| Job Description | This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accountancy graduate to join a firm renowned for training and motivating entry level staff.
Our client is a global services provider working for some of the World’s best known firms. They are currently seeking a recent accountancy graduate to join the team in Aberdeen working with major Oil and Gas accounts. The Accounts Assistant will be working within the Corporate Reporting Team on a major client contract. The main duties of the role are to provide support to the Corporate, Revenue and Treasury monthly processes. This is a varied role which will give exposure across a number of key accounting processes as well as give the opportunity to get involved in other ad hoc or project activities within the corporate reporting function. Main Accountabilities Monthly revenue activities including raising and processing of monthly sales invoices Daily treasury activities including preparing payments and issuing remittance advices Monthly corporate activities including control and reconciliation of data loads from the SAP general ledger to the Hyperion consolidation system, preparation and booking of journals into SAP Preparation of quarterly corporate account reconciliations Specific responsibility for reconciling Insurance, booking monthly journals and liaising with client staff Main point of contact for the SAP Matching process and for providing training. Provide ad hoc assistance and investigation for general queries Dimensions The position is part of a team of 12 covering corporate, revenue and treasury functions. |
| Qualifications | Recent graduate with Accountacy or economics degree, ideally with experience working within the accountacy department of a plc. Good Excel and Word knowledge Ability to adapt to new Systems i.e. Hyperion Financial Management and SAP Good communication skills with all levels of staff and client contacts The ability to work under minimal supervision and apply initiative The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines The ability to work as part of a team and be flexible |
