Job Description

Overview:

Our client, an Aberdeen based multinational oil and gas services company, requires the services of a Receptionist to be based at their office in Altens. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following.

 

Job Description:

 

  • To answer and greet internal and external calls via the company switchboard.
  • Assist callers to achieve a satisfactory outcome to the enquiry.
  • Politely greet all staff and visitors.
  • Ensure all visitors undergo the company induction in line with procedures in force at that time.
  • Ensure all visitors are logged on to the management system.
  • Ensure the reception area is kept at a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • Use the company PA system as required.
  • Provide training for new security guards.
  • Update data base with new records.
  • Sort mail delivered to reception.
  • Answer and action calls by logging the on the system
  • Assist in the weekly fire alarm tests with tannoy announcements
  • Assist personnel with the booking of taxis.
  • Calmly and efficiently deal with any calls of an emergency nature.
  • Ensure no contractors start work without speaking to a member of Office Services.
  • Update spread sheets.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be competent in MS Office Software with relevant experience in a reception or office environment.

 

The candidate must be confident with excellent communication and organisational skills due to the busy nature of this reception desk.
